District 2 plans schedule talks

Times staff report

Carbon County District 2 School Board members are scheduled to hold a discussion on school schedules during a Tuesday meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the district’s central office in Saratoga.
The meeting is open to the public.

Talks should center on school schedule survey results and about how the schedules might change to accommodate school staff and the community. The Tuesday discussion should serve as the foundation for the board members’ votes during an upcoming board meeting next week.

Prior to the discussion, board members are set to participate in the second of a series of workshops with the Wyoming School Boards Association from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The focus of the workshop, which is open to the public, should include distinguishing when to be proactive and when to be hands-off in various situations, the art of goal setting, finding the school board’s reason and purpose, and how best to use limited time.
